(a) Some of the activities undertaken by different RLCs (as of December 2006) with udle support are:1. Training:
- Four days integrated property tax management for staff of tax section.
- Two days market management for municipal police
- Seven days fire fighting training for municipal fire fighters
- Three days office management training for administrative support staff
- Five days municipal store management for store keepers
- Five days training on ward office management for ward secretaries
- Seven days training on municipal police management for municipal polices
- Five days training on report and proposal writing for community development workers
- Five days training on corporate accounting system for account officers
- Four days training on household waste management for the staff of sanitation section
- Five days training on building permit system for technical staff
- Three days training on project management for technical chief
- Five days training on initial environment examination for municipal engineers.
2. Workshops
- One day workshop on computer application for computer operators
- Two days workshop on legal issues for legal officers
- Two days workshop on gender sensitization for community development section staff
- Two days workshop on municipal resource mobilization for executive officer and revenue staff
3. Activities carried out by RLCs without udle support are:
- One day workshop on community mobilization for social mobilizers
- Two days training programme on Public Private Partnership for municipal staff
- One day orientation programme on environment protection for community development officers.
- Interaction programme with different stakeholders on project identificaiton
- Ward level committee meeting
- Skill development training for potential entrepreneurs
- Different entrepreneurship meeting
- Training on saving and credit programme for tole lane organisations
- Project identification workshop with different stakeholders
- Line agencies meeting for municipal planning
- Sensitization programme for local contractors on planning byelaws etc.
